Roger D. Werstler, LMT
Roger D. Werstler was selected for the National Dean’s List and certified in massage therapy at Stark State College of Technology in 2004. He is an Ohio Medical Board Licensed Massage Therapist. Roger is attuned as a Reiki Practitioner, Nationally Certified for Pre and Post-Natal Pregnancy Massage, has attended workshops on Fibromyalgia, Baby/ Infant Massage, Manually Managing Neural Pain, Managing Migraines, and Cranio Sacral Therapy. In 2007, he became a member of the Cambridge Who’s Who Among Executives and Professionals.
Roger met his wife Karen while both were art majors at Kent State University in the 1960s. They were married in 1969. Roger was graduated in 1970 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Graphic Design. When cutbacks in the advertising field shortened his art career, Roger became a factory employee at the Hoover Company in North Canton. He and Karen raised two sons and a daughter to adulthood. Roger retired from Hoovers in 2002 at age 55. While a Hoover employee, he began a career in the wellness center of the YMCA. After retiring, he became a student at Stark State College. He was certified as a personal fitness trainer by the YMCA, served in their Wellness Center, and interned in giving massages at the YMCA Men’s Athletic Club and the Canton Ballet.
